From Small Parcel Orders to Full Container Shipments

One of our long-term customers from Japan first started purchasing small quantities of car care products directly from Taobao suppliers in China.

At the beginning, the suppliers only handled domestic shipping within China and were unable to arrange international air shipments to Japan. To solve this problem, the customer used our warehouse address as the receiving point for all Taobao orders.

We helped collect products from different suppliers, inspect the goods, consolidate the shipments, and arrange air freight or sea freight to Japan based on the shipment volume and urgency.

As the customer’s business continued to grow, our cooperation gradually expanded from simple forwarding support to full sourcing and supply chain assistance.

Today, this customer has become one of our core partners and regularly purchases full container shipments from us every month.

This long-term cooperation reflects our ability to support overseas buyers at every stage — from small trial orders to large-scale container shipments — with flexible sourcing, warehousing, consolidation, and export solutions from China.

Supporting a Russian Distributor with Labeling, Repacking & Reinforced Packaging

We regularly support Russian customers with customized warehouse and packaging services for small and medium-sized orders.

In many cases, factories are unwilling to provide private labeling or customized packaging because the order quantities are too small. To solve this problem, we arrange for the products to be shipped directly to our warehouse without labels or retail boxes.

Our team then produces custom labels, applies them to the products manually, and prepares the goods according to the customer’s branding requirements.

For some projects, we also replace original color boxes with the customer’s own packaging design before shipment.

In addition, for fragile products that may be damaged during international transportation, we reinforce the outer packaging with synthetic wooden boards to improve protection and reduce shipping risks.

These flexible warehouse services help our customers reduce factory limitations, improve branding consistency, and simplify their supply chain process in China.

Helping Global Customers Source Reliable Filling Machine Production Lines

One of our Russian customers was looking for a filling machine production line for car care products. Since this type of equipment requires significant investment, product stability, and long-term technical support, we carefully evaluated multiple suppliers before making a recommendation.

Together with the customer, we visited and inspected four different factories in China. After comparing product quality, machine stability, pricing, and factory capabilities, we helped the customer select the most suitable supplier — a factory that offered both reliable quality and competitive pricing.

A few months later, two of our other customers from Japan and Australia also needed filling machine production lines. Since they had little experience with this type of equipment, they were unsure how to evaluate factory quality and avoid sourcing risks.

We shared our previous sourcing experience from the Russian project and recommended the same trusted supplier we had already worked with successfully.

Both customers accepted our recommendation. Because we had already established a good purchasing relationship with the factory through multiple orders, we were able to negotiate a better discount price for them.

As a result, our Japanese and Australian customers reduced their purchasing costs by approximately 5%, while also saving significant time and effort that would otherwise have been spent visiting and evaluating multiple factories themselves.

This project reflects how our sourcing experience, supplier network, and long-term factory relationships help overseas buyers reduce risks, save costs, and improve sourcing efficiency in China.

Sourcing V9 Nail Clippers from China: Helping Sunny Streamline His Procurement

Sunny, an Indian client introduced by my friend Sam, primarily sources daily necessities. He wanted my help finding a factory in China for V9 brand nail clippers. Previously, Sunny had purchased multiple batches from a shop in Yiwu and assumed that buying directly from a factory would yield a lower price.

I contacted the factory and their sales team, but they refused to sell directly to us, suggesting we use domestic distributors instead. Sunny’s typical order is around ¥100,000, which is considered a small order for the factory. Therefore, the factory route was not viable. I then approached several distributors, but their prices were higher than what Sunny had previously paid.

Although I didn’t achieve the lowest possible price, I gained valuable insights. First, finding a factory does not guarantee a purchase. Many brands have established distribution networks and will not break their rules for small orders. Second, prices of daily consumer products in Yiwu are highly transparent, and competition is fierce. Often, suppliers have already offered Indian clients extremely competitive prices, leaving little room for further reductions.

Later, Sunny asked me to source additional daily necessities. The prices I found were still slightly higher than his previous purchases. While this was a bit discouraging, Sunny reassured me: “It’s okay, Janet.” I explained that my value lies in managing suppliers, ensuring his business remains compliant and professional. Even if I cannot find lower prices, I can provide verification and comparison to ensure he pays fair prices for his products.

This experience demonstrates how a China sourcing agent can help clients navigate Yiwu suppliers, manage product sourcing, and streamline international shipments. Whether you are sourcing V9 nail clippers, daily consumer goods, or other items from China, professional guidance can save time, prevent risks, and ensure a smooth procurement process.

Why Finding a Factory Doesn’t Always Mean a Lower Price in China

Many importers believe that buying directly from a factory will always result in the lowest price.

Recently, I worked with an Indian client who wanted to source V9 brand nail clippers from China. He had already been purchasing from a trader in Yiwu and assumed that buying directly from the factory would help him reduce costs.

I helped him locate the factory and contacted their sales team. To our surprise, the factory refused to sell directly to us and asked us to purchase through their authorized distributors.

This experience reminded me of an important lesson:

Finding a factory does not always mean getting a lower price.

Reason 1: Many Brands Protect Their Distribution Network

Established brands often have a complete distribution system.

Even if you find the factory, they may not sell directly to end customers because they do not want to compete with their own distributors.

Protecting long-term business relationships is often more important than securing one additional order.

Reason 2: Traders Sometimes Buy More Than You Think

Many importers assume traders only add profit.

However, some distributors purchase in very large quantities and receive pricing that small and medium buyers cannot obtain.

As a result, their prices may actually be lower than what a factory is willing to offer for a smaller order.

Reason 3: Some Markets Are Extremely Competitive

In highly competitive product categories, prices are very transparent.

Many suppliers have already reduced their margins significantly to win orders.

This is especially common when dealing with experienced importers who negotiate aggressively and buy repeatedly.

What Is the Real Value of a Sourcing Agent?

Many people think a sourcing agent’s job is only to find a lower price.

In my opinion, our value goes far beyond that.

We help clients:

  • Verify supplier credibility
  • Compare market prices
  • Manage communication
  • Consolidate shipments
  • Handle export procedures
  • Reduce sourcing risks

Even when we cannot find a cheaper supplier, we can help clients confirm whether their current purchasing price is fair and reasonable.

Final Thoughts

The goal of sourcing is not always to find the cheapest supplier.

The goal is to build a reliable supply chain, reduce risk, and make better business decisions.

Sometimes the best outcome is not finding a lower price.

Sometimes the best outcome is confirming that you already have a good one.
